Sarah Barton Ryan
Sarah Ryan has an extensive background in the arts and in executive support.
Visual arts are her lifelong passion. Ryan owned and operated two internationally recognized fine art galleries, Thomas Segal Gallery and Barton-Ryan Gallery, in Boston, Massachusetts, for more than nine years. She was the youngest art dealer ever elected to the Boston Art Dealers Association, and she sat on the founding committee for the Steven D. Payne Scholarship.
Ryan is an experienced consultant, advising collectors on acquisitions and curating museum-quality private collections. She has also supported Executives and Boards of Directors as a strategic and administrative partner, including at private foundations, such as the Krupp Family Foundation. Ryan served as lead support to the Director of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology Media Lab, where she was a liaison and representative to prominent internal and external constituents, including the MIT President, Board of Directors, and Institute Donors.
Sarah received a Bachelor of Arts, with an emphasis on Art History and Graphic Design at University of Kentucky.
Ryan is a staunch advocate for arts in public schools (K–12). She has rescued numerous small parrots and she serves on her regional Habitat for Humanity Board of Directors.
